We won gold and bronze medals at the Tahiti Oceania Open 2022 in Tahiti

On September 4, both brothers won medals at the Tahiti Oceania Open 2022 in Tahiti, French Polynesia.

At this competition, twins Shugen Nakano (older brother) and Keisei Nakano (younger brother) won gold and bronze medals, respectively, in the 66 kg and 73 kg weight classes.
This was the first title won in the Olympic qualifying rounds, and expectations are high for their performance in future competitions.

Comment from Keisei Nakano

Although I had an accident with a broken nose during my semifinal match, I am happy to have won a medal in the qualifying competition for the Paris Olympics.
I will continue to compete in the qualifying competitions to earn more points, but I will take on the challenge one match at a time.

Comment from Shugen Nakano

There are many things I regret about the content of the match, but first of all, I am honestly happy to have won my first title in this Olympic qualifying tournament. I will put this “win” firmly into my mind, and I will do my best to take every opportunity to win in the future qualifying competitions as well, one by one, as I gain confidence!
Thank you for your continued support.
